It was established under the Energy Commission Act 2001 to meet with the rapid development and future challenges of the energy sector. The Commission is committed to ensure adequate, secure, safe and reliable supply of electricity and the supply of gas through piped lines at reasonable prices for the public, as well as to promote efficiency and consumer protection. To assist with its duties and responsibilities, EC requires dedicated skilled personnel to fill the following position:-

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:
•Carry out licensing, certification, inspection, monitoring, investigation and enforcement activities to ensure compliance with electricity supply legislation.
•Carry out activities to promote and advise industry and public on electrical safety, reliability and efficiency.

Requirements:
•A good honours degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 / 4.00
•Experience in and knowledge of enforcement and investigation related to the electricity and gas supply industries will be an added advantage.
•Self-starter and able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
•Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
•All positions will be based in the regional office located throughout Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah as well as in headquarters in Putrajaya

SYARAT KELAYAKAN:

- Calon bagi lantikan hendaklah memiliki kelayakan seperti berikut :-
a) Warganegara Malaysia ;
b) Berumur tidak kurang dari 18 tahun pada tarikh tutup iklan jawatan ;
c) Sijil dalam bidang berkaitan yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan daripada politeknik-politeknik tempatan atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya.( Gaji permulaan ialah pada Gred J17:P1T8 ) ;
d) lulus Bahasa Malaysia/Melayu (termasuk lulus Ujian Lisan) pada peringkat Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau kelulusan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh kerajaan.
( Keutamaan diberikan kepada calon-calon yang mempunyai sijil dalam bidang bangunan )

2. PEMBANTU PENGUATKUASA ( N17 )

- Calon bagi lantikan hendaklah memiliki kelayakan seperti berikut :-
a) Warganegara Malaysia ;
b) Berumur tidak kurang dari 18 tahun pada tarikh tutup iklan jawatan ;
c) i) Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh kerajaan;

* lulus 6 mata pelajaran termasuk Bahasa Melayu, dengan 2 daripada mata pelajaran adalah di peringkat Kepujian dan selebihnya peringkat Lulus dalam satu peperiksaan ; atau
* lulus 6 mata pelajaran termasuk Bahasa Melayu dengan 2 mata pelajaran adalah diperingkat Kepujian dan selebihnya peringkat Lulus yang di kumpulkan dalam dua peperiksaan dalam tempoh tiga tahun berturut-turut
ii) bekas anggota Polis Diraja Malaysia atau Angkatan Tentera Malaysia yang berpangkat
Koperal ke atas dan telah disahkan dalam jawatan tersebut serta mempunyai rekod
perkhidmatan yang baik dan berkebolehan bertutur, membaca dan menulis dalam
Bahasa Malaysia dengan memuaskan ;( Gaji pemulaan ialah pada Gred N17 : P1T1 )
d) mempunyai syarat-syarat ukuran fizikal dan pancaindera seperti yang berikut ;
i) tinggi sekurang-kurangnya 1.57m bagi lelaki dan 1.53m bagi wanita tanpa
bersepatu ;
ii) berat badan sekurang-kurangnya 50kg lelaki dan 48kg bagi wanita;
iii) mempunyai ukuran dada yang biasa sekurang-kurangnya 79sm dan semasa
menarik nafas 84sm ( lelaki sahaja ).
iv) lulus dalam ujian penglihatan bagi mata kiri dan kanan yang diuji berasingan
dengan ketetapan V/6/9 tanpa menggunakan cermin mata ;
v) pengecaman warna dan pendengaran yang tidak cacat ;
vi) diakui sihat dan sesuai oleh Pegawai Perubatan Kerajaan;
vii) memiliki lesen memandu motosikal Kelas B2 yang dikeluarkan oleh Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) dan
e) calon yang memiliki kelayakan di perenggan 1 (c) (i) atau (ii) di atas hendaklah lulus Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Melayu ( termasuk lulus Ujian Lisan ) pada peringkat Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau kelulusan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh kerajaan.

3. PENJAGA JENTERA ( CHARGEMAN ) ( R17 )

Calon bagi lantikan hendaklah memiliki kelayakan seperti berikut :-
a) Warganegara Malaysia ;
b) Berumur tidak kurang dari 18 tahun pada tarikh tutup iklan jawatan ;
c) i) tamat Tingkatan 3 sekolah menengah rendah bantuan penuh kerajaan ;
ii) sekurang-kurangnya mempunyai sijil AO ( Sistem Pepasangan Kilang-kilang ) yang
dikeluarkan oleh Jemaah Pemeriksa Elektrik atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf
dengannya oleh kerajaan ;dan
d) berkebolehan bertutur, membaca dan menulis dalam Bahasa Malaysia dengan
memuaskan

CARA MEMOHON:

- Borang permohonan boleh didapati secara terus di Kaunter Hasil, Tingkat 1, Majlis Perbandaran Kajang, 43000 Kajang, Selangor Darul Ehsan berharga RM 2.00 bagi setiap borang. Pembelian melalui pos hendaklah menggunakan Wang Pos di atas nama Yang Dipertua, Majlis Perbandaran Kajang berserta sampul surat saiz A4, beralamat sendiri dan bersetem RM 1.00 atau dimuatturun dari laman web www.mpkj.gov.my.

(ii) Diploma dalam pentadbiran awam yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan daripada institusiinstitusi pengajian tinggi tempatan atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh kerajaan; (Gaji permulaan ialah pada Gred S27: P1T5); atau
(iii) Diploma Komunikasi dan Media yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan daripada institusi-institusi pengajian tinggi tempatan atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh kerajaan. (Gaji permulaan ialah pada Gred S27: P1T5); dan
(b) Lulus Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu (termasuk lulus Ujian Lisan) pada peringkat Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau kelulusan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh kerajaan.

4. Pembantu Tadbir Perkeranian/Operasi N17

(i) Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh Kerajaan; dan
(ii) Kepujian Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu (termasuk lulus Ujian Lisan) pada peringkat Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau kelulusan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh Kerajaan.
(Keutamaan diberi kepada calon yang berkebolehan mengendalikan komputer dan/atau
mengambil trengkas).

SYARAT-SYARAT UMUM BAGI SEMUA JAWATAN DI ATAS
(a) Had Umur: berumur tidak kurang dari 18 tahun pada tarikh tutup iklan jawatan;
(b) Penaklukan Di Bawah Syarat Skim Perkhidmatan: Calon-calon yang dilantik adalah
tertakluk kepada syarat-syarat skim perkhidmatan berkenaan yang sedang berkuatkuasa
serta pindaan-pindaan yang dibuat dari masa ke semasa.

(d) Tarikh tutup permohonan ialah pada 30 April 2010. Borang permohonan yang diterima
selepas tarikh tutup akan ditolak.
(e) Permohonan hanya dibenarkan bagi calon-calon yang mempunyai kelayakan sebagaimana
disyaratkan sahaja.
(f) Hanya calon-calon yang layak selepas tapisan sahaja akan dipanggil untuk temuduga.

-Undertake to update the staff policies and procedures and recommend changes when necessary.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nautical Studies or Nautical Science, COC Class 1 Deck Officer (Master Mariner).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Technology, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering, or COC Class 1 Marine Engineering Officer.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering.
